Martinson was a part of the team that won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and helped the Rangers earn the right to host the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2012. She also had the opportunity to go on two European tours with the Regis volleyball team.

During her career, Martinson tallied the fifth-highest reception percentage (.965) in Regis volleyball history with 3.48 digs per set, a serving percentage of .943, 133 total aces, 2.33 assists per set, and 1,062 assists. Her single-game highs of 17 kills, 18 digs and five blocks came during the 2013 season.

Graduating summa cum laude with a GPA of 3.94, she received a degree in sociology with a coaching minor and certificate in leadership. A member of Alpha Sigma Nu, she is now studying to get her master’s in organizational leadership.

Since her time as a Ranger, Martinson has played two professional volleyball seasons in Switzerland for club Ratia. The team finished atop of its league standings in both seasons. In 2016, she became the athletic coordinator at Thompson Rivers Park and Recreation and the junior varsity volleyball coach at Roosevelt High School. In 2018, she relocated to Oregon and worked at Nike WHQ in Beaverton, OR.

Martinson has two Great Danes, Griffith and Fife. Her parents, Terry and Joanna, reside on a small farm outside of LaSalle, Colo. She has two older sisters, Dryas and Sayrd, both living in California. Her oldest sister, Sayrd, played volleyball at the University of Denver and her middle sister, Dryas, was a competitive dancer.

Sage’s responsibilities include serving as the camp coordinator and as the social media and marketing specialist. She will also assist in day-to-day practice as well as in traveling and recruiting operations for the team.
