REGIS VOLLEYBALL CAMPS
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Regis Volleyball Camps has a strict code of conduct. This is to ensure that each participant attending the camp will have a safe and enjoyable time. Parents and participants must understand the rules associated with the code of conduct and agree to them when participating in camp.
Language:
Each participant is expected to use clean, respectful language during the camp. This includes conduct with other participants, coaches, speakers, directors, and faculty and staff on the campus of Regis University.
Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures:
Each participant is to attend all volleyball sessions and is expected to arrive on time. All camps will begin their first session at the Regis Field House. Attendance will be checked prior to each session. If a camper is missing or tardy, parents will be notified. Participants are not allowed to leave campus at any time, unless a parent or guardian signs a check-out sheet with a camp coach or director. At the end of camp, participants are to remain in the gym or outside on the sidewalk by the circle drive until their parent or guardian picks them up. Please be on time! Parents are welcome to come into the gym to pick up their child. If a parent chooses to stay in their car, contact with the child via cell phone must be made. Campers will not be permitted to wait alone in the parking lot for pick up. A member of Regis Volleyball Camps will be on duty at that time.
If a camper needs to leave early or arrive late for any reason, the legal parent or guardian must come into the gym and physically sign the child out/in with the camp director or their court coach. If you know that your camper will be unable to attend all of the sessions of camp, please let the camp director know ASAP so that we can keep an accurate daily count of our attendees.
Cell Phones & Calling Home:
We know participants want to stay in touch with family. Cell phones are permitted during the camp; however, we have the right to restrict the times they may be used. No cell phones are allowed during camp sessions. Participants may only talk on the telephone during free time or other designated times. No text messaging and/or cell phone use is permitted during instruction sessions.
Laws and Standards:
Participants are expected to obey every law governing our land and uphold the standards of good citizenship. This includes no illegal substances, stealing, shoplifting, or physically hurting others. Campers engaging in any of these activities will be asked to leave camp immediately with no refund and may face criminal charges.
Resident Campers Only:
Overnight campers are expected to leave their room as they received it. Report any damage that occurs as soon as possible. Participants are not allowed out of the dorm after dark. Participants are expected to be in their rooms by 10:30 p.m. with lights out by 11:00 p.m. each evening. Participants should not be roaming the hallways, hanging out in public areas, and/or disturbing the peace of other participants and groups on campus. There will be camp counselors that stay overnight during the resident camp. They are responsible for the safety and well-being of each camper. Any participant engaging in inappropriate behavior of any kind will be asked to leave.
University Property:
If you lose a room key or damage university property you are responsible for replacing the lost or damaged item. The cost to replace a lost or damaged room key is $50.00 and a lost meal card is $10.00.
Refund Policy:
The $70 deposit is an administration fee and WILL be kept in every circumstance of a refund request. Please let us know if you need to cancel ASAP. All requests for refunds must be in writing and must be submitted to Regis Volleyball Camp Coordinator with your written notification for cancellation and refund request if camp has been paid in full. Contact the Camp Coordinator by email ([email protected]). This ensures that an electronic time stamp is placed with the request to prevent disputes over when the request was made. Refund Requests outside of 3 weeks: If the cancellation and refund request is more than 3 weeks prior to the start date of the clinic, program payment less $70 (admin. fee) will be refunded. Ex: Program cost $400- $70= $330 refund. Refunds inside of 3 weeks: Refunds requested inside 3 weeks of scheduled camp are granted ONLY for valid medical reasons that would prevent your child from participation in camp and a signed statement from your physician must accompany the written request. Being too tired or having sore muscles is not considered a valid medical reason. Refunds are not given for poor planning, to participants who voluntarily leave a camp for any reason, or who are sent home for disciplinary reasons. In the event of an injury we still have to keep the $70 non-refundable administration fee.
