JOEL LIST
2024 begins Coach List's 19th season at Regis. In his first season (2017) as the head coach, List lead the Rangers to a RMAC regular season and tournament championship, South Central Regional Championship and a trip to the Elite 8! In his inaugural season Coach List was also named RMAC Coach of the Year as well as South Central Coach of the Year. Coach List was promoted to head coach in 2017 after being the team's top assistant and the program's camp coordinator for the past 11 years. Previously, as camp coordinator, he lead the camp instruction, hired camp coaches, oversaw the camp website, and served as a liaison between campus housing and food services. Coach List also has an integral role in all facets of the Rangers' volleyball program and the promotion of the program's brand. During his role as assistant coach he oversaw recruiting, directed the strength and conditioning program, implemented the statistical/video programs, assisted in fundraising for the volleyball program, oversaw student employees, co-directed practices, and played a crucial role in the coaching during matches.
His expertise in recruiting and statistical software, video analysis, and technology implementation and use has helped promote the program to a higher level. Coach List is also responsible for bolstering the program's social media presence. Finally, his time at Regis has allowed him to build relationships with players that last beyond graduation which, in turn, has improved Alumni relations.
Throughout his time at Regis, Coach List has been a part of four RMAC conference titles, in 2008, 2012 and 2017, 2019 and 11 trips to the NCAA II Tournament, an Elite 8 appearance in 2017 and a Final 4 run in 2019. In the 2023 season, List led his team to an RMAC Tournament Championship and was named the South Central Coach of the Year for the second time in his career. His contributions have gotten the Rangers back into national prominence.
